Dan Perry founded in 2006, GeoSymMetrics (GSM), LLC began as a small Civil Design Consulting firm providing support services to Surveyors and Civil Engineers.
2011 was a milestone year for three reasons:
- Dan founded the Geomatics Program at Utah Valley University (UVU) located in Orem, Utah, USA.
- Dan obtained his license as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) No 836741 in the State of Utah
- He became a tenured Associate Professor.
Since 2011 Dan has continued to serve UVU, the Utah Council of Land Surveyors (UCLS), and has continued to stay relevant to his students by working in and staying close to the surveying profession.
GeoSymMetrics recently became an authorized Carlson Software dealer with focus on the Utah market. Dan expects this dealer relationship with Carlson to improve his ability to continuing teaching, managing, and promoting the UVU Surveying and Mapping Program, and to keep himself continually learning the latest instrumentation and software tools, and to promote the surveying profession as a whole.
